Meet our Holiday Travel Zone representative at the airport. Transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the “One Horned Rhinoceros” (280 kms 5 hrs), check in at your hotel. Evening free for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Early morning, explore the Eastern Zone of Kaziranga National Park on the back of an elephant. Apart from the Rhino, other species found are hog deer, swamp deer, wild buffalo, elephants, and, if you are lucky, the tiger also. It is also home to pelicans, storks, and darters, as there are a number of water bodies inside the Park. We will return to the for breakfast. In the afternoon, we have arranged a jeep safari through the Central Zone of the National Park. Evening, come back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, proceed to Shillong, also called ‘Scotland of the East' (270 kms, 7 hrs). En route, we see Umium Lake, a majestic, placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. In the evening, visit the markets in the Mall, and return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at 07:30 A.M., drive to Cherrapunjee (65 kms 2½ hrs), the wettest place in the world. The beautiful waterfall, Nohkalikai, is at Cherrapunjee. You can also explore some of the caves in and around Cherrapunjee. Evening return to Shillong, en route visit Elephanta falls. Stay overnight at your hotel in Shillong.
After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati. And then visit Kamakhya Temple, and in the evening we suggest an optional tour of the Golden sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra (Direct Payment). Overnight stay at the hotel.
Morning is free for personal activities. Transfer to the Guwahati airport for onward journey.
